Day 2 was a rollercoaster ride for us- Fun & Thrilling!
We had an internal team call after Day-1, 2 and we had a deep retrospect of the days events. Overall, we were very happy with the way we opened the conference and the days went by.
We all murmured a long hard sigh and a breeze of fresh air flowed through our microphones. But we were quickly brought back to reality - we have 4 more days to go and we have no choice but to keep up-ing our game of virtual conference until the last day!
And we continue to do so! Day 3 is going to be more exciting and this trend will follow. So be sure to attend the UX India Conference daily.
See you in a couple of hours!

Paul Merrell from Meld Studios kicked off the day with his talk spoke about the importance of context in the pandemic. He was followed by Narendra Ghate who spoke about AI & UX through some real world video examples, I was able to connect the most with an example he gave using autonomous cars. Then came Brad Nunnally (who is also giving a masterclass, a poll in the conf showed his topic was the most liked) spoke about designing for tough problems, he took an example of Wright Brothers and explained problem solving.
Post a quick break, we had Sourabh who presented a case study his studio worked with a startup ‘Workomo.’ Anshumali spoke about Voice UI and some principle behind designing it. Prashanth spoke about designing for a billion users using some very cool examples of how some companies like Atlassian and Microsoft design for inclusivity.
Bill explained a tool/method called Experience Scorecard using aspects like usability, emotional experience, design, and brand. Bill was followed by Sherline who was an amazing story teller, she just narrated a story without the use of any visual cues! To end day 2, Priyanka/Trace came in to talk about design systems at Facebook and spoke about building an inclusive design system.
I tried to summarise the day as best as I could. For more you got to wait for the recording!

Priyanka & Trace were a great team. Q&A’s for me are the most amazing part of the day. I get to have a conversation with some very cool designers. Really look forward to asking them some very pressing questions. I’m spilling beans here but I do prep for moderating the session by going through their talk before hand. Perks for being a part of the core team I guess.
I also got a chance to talk to Anshumali on Voice UI. We had some technical glitches but we got over it very quickly. I got some comments on my background, we all know the books but if you look closely that bottle placed above the books is the bottle we gave away at UXI19 in the kit. Its Dieter Rams themed!
Btw, we are always on the look out for kick ass, design loving volunteers. Sign up here.
You guys are amazing for shooting so many questions to me, keep ‘em coming!
